Rejuvenate and enhance your best features
While wrinkles are a natural part of ageing as our skin gets thinner and our body produces less natural collagen and elastin, we still all want to look our best. Combining advanced knowledge of facial anatomy with market-leading cosmetic injectables, The Skin Boutique can help you achieve your desired appearance.
Whether you want to plump your lips, smooth out wrinkles or enhance your cheekbones, our in-clinic cosmetic injections are an effective and affordable way to fight signs of ageing or correct lost volume.
What are cosmetic injectables and what do they do?
Cosmetic injections can help to reduce facial wrinkles and lines. The two main cosmetic injections on the market today include:
- Anti-wrinkle injections
- Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are pipped by injection along wrinkles and plump the skin. Anti-Wrinkle Injections relax the muscles in the face and softens the lines often associated with facial expression. By replacing the underlying muscle, it allows the skin to smoothen out. Both types of injectables can often be used to achieve the desired results.
What skin conditions can cosmetic injectables be used to treat?
Anti-Wrinkle Injections can be used to treat a range of conditions including:
Frown lines between your eyebrows
Lines across the bridge of your nose
Lines on the forehead
Wrinkles on the outside corners of your eyes known as “crow’s feet”
Lines on the throat
What cosmetic injectable treatments are available at The Skin Boutique?
At The Skin Boutique, we offer anti-wrinkle injections, which help prevent dynamic wrinkles from becoming static wrinkles. Administered by a medical practitioner, these injections temporarily block the signal between muscle and nerve to smooth the skin for rejuvenated, younger looking features.
Dermal fillers are another treatment available through The Skin Boutique. When these fillers are injected, they can lead to added volume by enhancing features such as the cheeks, lips or chin. Dermal fillers are available in different densities to enhance different parts of the face.
Preparing for your appointment
In the weeks prior to your appointment, be conscious of what you’re consuming. Avoid taking ibuprofen, aspirin and other NSAIDS for two weeks prior to your treatment. Eat leafy greens to boost your Vitamin K to reduce bruising and swelling. Be sure to hydrate and have a full meal before receiving your injections. While you may start seeing results in just 3-5 days, sometimes final results can take up to 3 weeks after the injection to be visible.
Aftercare for cosmetic injectables
Bruising and discomfort is normal when receiving cosmetic injections. Topical numbing agents can be used to help with discomfort. Do not get any facial massage for at least 24 hours after your injection and any facial lasers or electrical treatments should be avoided for two weeks. For fillers, apply ice immediately after the treatment to reduce swelling.
