Glycolic acid and salicylic acid are among the best known chemical agents to have many benefits. While exfoliating the skin, they have properties which stimulate the skin's natural functional and structural constituents. Once deposited on the skin, they act as biological stimulators to enhance the renewal of newer keratinocytes and cellular matrix.
After stimulation, the regeneration of the skin is mediated by the multiplication of the epidermal cells which are newer and healthier. Thus older cells are replaced by new ones. The main ingredients found in the Dermaceutic "STIMULATE" range are Glycolic acid, a AHA known for its keratolytic action that stimulates cell renewal and Salicylic acid, a BHA with a lipophilic nature that helps to unclog pores.
