How It Works
The Activated Charcoal Refining Mask is based on a marine complex that allows the thick mask to dry down to a rubber-like consistency; peeling off all in a single easy motion. Using charcoal, the mask works to unclog pores and cleanse away impurities for a revitalised and clarified complexion. Our charcoal is ‘activated’ meaning it has been treated with water vapour to add holes into the charcoal, enhancing its surface area with millions of tiny pores. These pores can trap impurities, bacteria, dirt, pollution and excess oils. While many masks of this nature are drying, Activated Charcoal Refining Mask contains water-drenching hyaluronic acid, leaving the skin hydrated and plumped. Natural sugars work behind the scenes to immediately lift and firm the skin, while moringa extract adds essential antioxidant protection to keep fresh skin shielded from free radicals.
Activated Charcoal Refining Mask serves as a weekly booster to help refine, clarify and revitalise the skin. Once mixed with liquid, the bamboo charcoal powder transforms into a cooling gel that can be quickly and easily spread across the face. This freshly scented gel is infused with subtle notes of patchouli and marjoram to soothe the senses for the ultimate spa experience. As you wait for it to set, breathe deeply to attain its full aromatherapeutic benefits. When the mask is lifted away from the face, impurities are expelled to unveil a smooth, radiant, detoxified complexion. Perfect as a 10-minute bath time treat, the skin-perfecting mask works to refine skin texture and refresh the complexion.
How to Use
Apply after cleansing. In the bowl provided, blend the charcoal powder with 30ml of water. Using the spatula, mix for 30 seconds until smooth and thick. Apply the mask over the face, avoiding the delicate eye area and lips. Leave to set for 10 minutes. Starting at the base, gently lift the mask away from the skin, removing any excess with a warm, damp cloth. For best results, mix the powder with Daily Refresh Balancing Toner™ or filtered/bottled water. If using tap water, setting times may vary in hard water areas.
